Metamorphosis has just been reviewed in The Stage (you can read the review here). They had this to say:
“The sharp, often menacing, sound effects work well as an accompaniment to mime and action.”
“Innovative theatre... at its most watchable.”

Just finished working on a staged reading of ‘Stranger at the Table’ at The Jewish Museum. Written by Julia Pascal, directed by Faynia Williams and staring Annette Badland, Brian Capron, Louisa Clein, Sam Crane and Peter Silverleaf - great play and a superb performance by all involved.

I have been busy working on the new Simply Told show The Turing Project, which was part of Battersea Arts Centre’s Freshly Scratched. More development work and shows will follow in the new year. Stay tuned for more news...

The Alpha Project had a great run at the British Science Festival 2011 in Bradford with 30+ shows in 4 days.
The show was reviewed during the Greenwich run by Lyn Gardner from The Guardian. She had this to say: "The cunning beauty of the piece is that while afterwards we may ponder how they did it, the truth is that we are doing it to ourselves. The Alpha Project... cleverly explores the nature of theatre and our willingness to be gulled into seeing what we want to see. Fun, and a wee bit unsettling."
Other press for The Alpha Project:
**** "Freakishly brilliant... Theatrical genius" Greenwich News Shopper
**** "An unforgettable experience" Fringe Review
"Rather special" Brighton Argus

I have contributed two recordings to the OISTAT Sound Design Working Group 2011 World Listening Day Project. The project aimed to capture recordings every hour of the day from recordists and phonographers across the globe. There are some really interesting recordings and if you have a spare 50 minutes it is definitely worth listening through the whole thing. You can check it out here: Soundcloud - World Listening Day 2011

I had a great trip to the Prague Quadrennial 2011 where my sound design for The Alpha Project was selected for inclusion in the 3rd International Theatre Soundscore and Music Composition Exhibition. It was installed in the DISK cafe at DAMU in Prague, but is also available online via the OISTAT Sound Design Working Group website (www.theatresound.org) or http://www.narcosislabs.com/3rd/. Check it out, there are some excellent scores from designers all over the world.

The trip to The Knot in Berlin was a success with a great performance of Pan-Demonium with The Shape of the Inconstruable Question, bricolage kitchen and oneoftheroughs.
Look out for the release of some material by The Shape of the Inconstruable Question later in the year.

‘Here Now Now’ the album by Hanna Burchell was recently reviewed by Musician magazine. They had this to say: “The classy production, which benefits from a light touch... ensures a sumptuous setting... with Danny Bright’s slide guitar and Alex Eberhard’s cultivated drumming as welcome highlights. A hidden gem”
